Question 🙋🏻 how are mattresses made? what materials do they use?

hey everyone

ive been mattress shopping and i had no idea it would be this complicated. thought it’d be a quick pick from soft or firm, maybe memory foam, done. nvr thought there’s way more to it.

just learned that some mattresses use memory foam, others are latex, which feels springier and a bit cooler. then there’s innerspring which has coils for support. and hybrids, which mix any two. i even saw ones with cooling gel, organic materials and reinforced edges… lotsa stuff i nvr really thought about before

now im trying to figure out what actually makes a difference in how it feels and how long it lasts. can you guys drop a thought or two?

went through the same thing a few months ago. I ended up going with a hybrid because I wanted the support of springs but the comfort of foam. The cooling layer made a big difference too esp in the summer.

Lol felt the same when I started mattress shopping... way more complicated than I expected!
