I’m a single mom and I need help with cleaning my bed sheets… With everything going on…taking care of the kids, chores, and work…I feel like I’m not washing them the right way.

Heard that how you wash your sheets matters but I’m not sure what settings to use. And right now I just use the regular cycle on the washing machine. But someone told me that might be too rough. Should I be using a gentler setting instead?

I’m also confused about water temperature. Is hot water better for cleaning? Or is cold water safer for the fabric? My kids jump on my bed all the time, so I want the sheets to be really clean. But I also don’t want to ruin them or make more work for myself.

fellow single mom here and I get it life gets busy and we really have to be independent. For your bed sheets, I recommend washing them on a gentle or delicate cycle if you’re worried about wear. Cold water should be fine for most sheets especially if you’re concerned about shrinking. Do you usually dry them in the dryer or air dry them? That can also make a big difference.

I usually toss them in the dryer, but I’ve noticed they can get a little wrinkly. Maybe I’ll try the delicate cycle and cold water next time. I never really thought about how the drying method affects them so I’ll keep that in mind too. Thanks btw :)
