I wanted to get some opinions on this. My room is super tiny like it barely fits my wardrobe, a small desk, and my work setup. There just wasn’t space for a bulky bed frame anymore, so I ended up getting an 8-inch thick single mattress and just put it straight on the floor.
Honestly, it’s been totally fine so far. I was worried at first about things like catching colds from being so close to the ground or dealing with dust and moisture, but I haven’t noticed any problems. I actually kind of like the simple, low-profile vibe it gives the room.
That said, I keep seeing mixed takes online about whether it’s a bad idea long-term. Stuff like airflow, mold, or bugs makes me think if I’m missing something.
So for those of you who’ve done the same thing, is having your bed on the floor bad?
