Question 🙋🏻 Seriously though, how to raise mattress height? Any tips and advice?

I know this might sound like a small issue, but it’s been driving me a little nuts.

I just moved into a new apartment and for the first time, I actually have a bedroom big enough for a proper bed. I got a new mattress, but once it was set up on the frame, it’s way lower than I expected. I feel like I’m squatting to get out of bed in the morning. Def NOT ideal.

I’d love to raise the mattress a few inches for both comfort and to make getting up easier (especially for my knees). I also wouldn’t mind sneaking in some extra storage underneath if possible.

Anyone figured out good ways to raise mattress height without making it look ridiculous? Bed risers? Thicker foundation? Layering stuff? Just trying to keep it functional and not sketchy. I’m open to any tips or creative solutions.

If you want a more solid fix than bed risers, getting the right frame helps a lot. The Nolah Smart Adjustable Base is a good pick which is a high profile, adjustable height, and pretty comfy with extra features too.
