Advice 💁🏻 What can you recommend is the best bed for back pain floor?

I’m starting all over again in a new apartment. I have terrible lumbar issues and I’ve been sleeping on the floor. Can anyone recommend- best bed for back pain floor? I’m on a budget since I had to spend a lot on moving. Should I go with a futon, a memory foam floor mattress, or just a quality topper on top of a mat?

Memory foam on the floor sounds nice in theory, but most of it’s too soft unless it’s really dense. I tried one and woke up with more pain. I’d recommend a firm topper on a yoga mat or rug to start, especially if you're on a budget.

I’ve tried all three! For back pain, especially lumbar, firm is king. Foam tends to compress too quickly and loses support.

Try IKEA mattress toppers if you’re really broke. Not perfect, but laid on top of a firm rug or mat, it should work well. Better than sleeping directly on hardwood!

Might as well go with an actual mattress… The SweetNight Twilight Hybrid is low in price and very supportive.
